2023/One of our clients contacted us for site supervision during a docking/inspection in Batam.
Through our local network we found the perfect support for him and assisted where we could. This docking is the first step of a larger job in which we will happily support our client again.
Although the visit from us was more of a commercial nature we could not resist having a look at the vessel as shipbuilding will always have a special place in my heart 😊.
Lots of good memories on this yard as in 2019 we spend a year here as site manager for two other vessels.
2022/ present – Iv-one Offshore & Energy’s Site representative for the construction of the Sofia wind farm offshore converter platform (HVDC). This topside will be the heart of the 1,4 gigawatt wind farm installed in the North Sea (Dodger bank). As site representative we are based in Batam Indonesia and responsible for all site activities that concern the installation of Iv-one equipment.
Sept. 2021/March 2022 – Oceanco PMP Life Cycle Support Project Manager Production for the refit of the M/Y Lucky Lady. Responsible for all production related items. First point of contact for subcontractors and client. Project is due to be delivered May 2022.
Feb. 2021/Aug. 2021 – Consultant ECT Rotterdam (Europe Container Terminals) Managing the modification of several quay cranes to increase lifting height.
This modification is necessary to accommodate the increasing size of the ‘Ultra Large Container Ships’ (ULCS) in the port of Rotterdam.
